Day 2
: A full
day tour of Old and New Delhi.
OLD DELHI - A
sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting
the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma
Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest
mosque in India and the Red Fort - once the most
opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire.
Enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride
from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.
NEW DELHI - An
extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would
include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub
Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath,
past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House,
the President's Residence, Lotus Temple and would
end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
Day 3 : Transfer to the
airport to take your flight to Khajuraho.
There are few things in the world which are beyond
compare and certain things that inspired human
emotions to give an outlet to his spiritual and
physical love. The erotic images of Khajuraho
are the expressions of these human inner feelings
. Every facade-wall, window, pillar, and ceiling
of Khajuraho is carved with figures of mythical
and historical origins, and while many of these
depict the innocent form of love on these walls.
Forgotten and unvisited until the mid-1960s, Khajuraho
is now, after the Taj Mahal, India's biggest single
tourist attraction

Afternoon visit the WESTERN TEMPLES.
The Western Group of Temples :
The western group of temples, which the visitor
encounters first, is situated along the main approach
road to Khajuraho. This is the largest and most
important group with most of its constituent temples
laid out roughly in two rows. The Lakshmana Temple,
the Matangesvara Temple and the Varaha Temple
form one complex and the Visvanatha and Nandi
temples are not far from this complex. These temples
form an irregular row running north-south, while
the Chitragupta, Jagadambi and the Kandariya Mahadeva
temples form a more regular, parallel row, about
a furlong to their west. These monuments are best
maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India
amidst a setting of green lawns, colourful shrubs
and flowerbeds.

Day 4 : Bandhavgarh National
Park (210 km / 5 hr)
Enjoy Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for guided tour
of EASTERN TEMPLES.
The Eastern Group of Temples
: The eastern group of monuments, situated in
close proximity to the Khajuraho village, includes
three Brahmanical temples known as Brahma, Vamana
and Javari and three Jain temples, the Ghantai,
Adinath and Parsvanath. The Brahmanical temples
are located along or near the Khajuraho-Sagar,
while the Jain temples are situated farther south
and are conveniently approached by a metalled
road.
Continue drive to Bandhavgarh, one of India's
famous nature reserves.
Arrive Bandhavgarh by noon. Afternoon jungle visit
in jeeps for tiger tracking. Overnight stay.
Located in the Vindhya Hills,
Bandhavgarh encompasses 32 hills covered with
a mixed forest of Sal, Dhobin and saga and large
stretches of grassland with bamboo groves. Dominated
by a large fort said to have been built by Lord
Rama, the hero of the Indian epic Ramayana, Bandhavgarh
is famous for its tigers.
Day 5
: Bandhavgarh
National Park
Start early on
a dawn visit to the jungle in hunt of ever elusive
tiger. Rest of the day is at leisure, free for
personal activities or or take a nature walk.
Day 6 :
Bandhavgarh National Park-Kanha National Park
(275 km / 7 hr.).
From Bhandavgarh drive to yet another Wildlife
Park - Kanha . Arrive Kanha in the evening. Overnight
stay. No other wildlife reserve in India offers
the density of fauna, found at Kanha, in the state
of Madhya Pradesh. Often called Tiger Land, Kanha
is located in a horse-shoe shaped valley bound
by two distinct spurs, and supports 22 species
of mammals in the central parkland and the adjoining
plateaus. Over the years, animals at Kanha have
become bolder and more confident, making the park
excellent for wildlife viewing and photography.
Day 7
: Kanha
National Park
Tiger, leopard, barasingha, gaur, sambar, chausingha,
nilgai, sloth bear, dhole, barking deer, blackbuck,
wild boar, langur, red jungle fowl are amongst
the prominent fauna.
Morning and evening jungle visits for tiger tracking,
nature watch or birding. Overnight stay.
Day 8
: Kanha
National Park - AGRA (250 km / 6 hr.)
This morning drive to Jabalpur for an onward train
journey to the City Of Taj - Agra.
Today a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world
of contrasting edifices, of red sandstone and
white marble, narrow galleys and quaint buggies,
and that irresistible charm that this favorite
city of the Mughals still retains. It is not surprising,
that modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage
most conspicuously. A walk down the narrow bustling
streets of the city will introduce the visitor
to the wafting aroma of Mughlai cuisine.
Afternoon visit the impressive
Agra Fort and get led through the multitude of
chambers in this regal residence. As you drive
through the city you will get to see some local
colours and bazaars. Overnight at Agra.
Day 9
: AGRA
- DELHI
Sunrise Visit to
TAJ MAHAL: Little needs to be said about this
architectural wonder which is always the soul
raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra.
Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj is a white marble
memorial to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. This
monument took 22 years to be completed and was
designed, and planned by Persian architect Ustad
Isa. Behold its magnificent structure, observe
its intricate detailing and craftsmanship and
gaze in awe as you linger on to beautifully landscaped
gardens.
Afternoon drive back to Delhi and transfer straight
to the International airport or you may extend
your stay with us.
